'Murchison Built' Brute Conversions

We strongly believe in not only the company AEV 'American Expedition Vehicles' but their philosophy of creating something substancially more capable than factory with a complete factory look, fit and finish. AEV make arguably the best aftermarket products available for the Jeep brand, working closely with the factory R&D team on many concept Jeeps which nearly always make it to SEMA, and some making it into Production.

Murchison Products will be offering Brute vehicle's as complete "turn-key" packages, road registered ready to go. This includes Queensland Transport Approval and Compliance Plating. (We cannot register or comply a vehicle for any other state.)

We can source & supply the donor vehicle or you can supply your own. One thing we will be making sure of is that the donor vehicle is of a high standard and not damaged or run down to a point that it would be unfeasible to perform the conversion on it. Preferably you need to start with a TJ that has a pristine engine and driveline, the lowest klms you can find and a well looked after interior with a good service history. This is not a cheap exercise and is for the dedicated only who want something different to the norm. To give you a brief idea, $30K plus your vehicle wont get you much but $40K will.

We have seen in the current build that it is not just a simple kit and wouldn’t be for the average home hobbyist or "Handy with a Spanner" type of person.

There is a huge amount of time required to build these vehicles right and the figures that we have seen thrown around the internet for build times are grossly under estimated. You need a bare minimum of 2 people throughout the entire build to do it right and more importantly, safely. There are also many specialist tools and machines required to undertake the modification, not to mention certification. We have successfully registered the Brute as a 2 door commercial ute.

The Murchison Products Brute is well and truly up and running and has been for some time now (1st hit the road early december 2010!!) . We are also about to release our Alloy Trayback version and "Tradies Pack" Wrangler Utes. The Alloy Tray will be 200mm wider and 150mm longer than the current Brute Tray and will put the owners mind at ease about throwing in some bricks, demo rubble or gravel.!! The Murchison Products Brute will Feature at this years 2012 4WD Tinnie and Tackle Show at the RNA Showgrounds March 23rd-25th. We will have 3 vehicles on display so make sure you come in and check them out.
