Upgrading your vehicle’s suspension would have to be one of the most important and valuable mods you could possibly do, followed by tyres.
It’s all about compromise...........
Have a think about it, vehicle manufacturers have to make a product that spends 90%+ (give or take) of its time on road, usually with one or 2 people in the car. When you want to go off road and take some more people and gear with you those poor weak little stock springs are going to cop it. They just don’t have the inherent strength and length to hold up that extra weight over time........ and you haven’t even added that heavy winch bar, skid plates or camper trailer yet.

Factory Standard Fitment Coils are mass produced by the cheapest bidder to the vehicle manufacturer. I have seen stock coil springs before that have had an oval shape to the spring steel itself. I’ve also seen inconsistencies with the wire diameter from top to bottom. Talk about budget, no wonder they sag over time.
Standard spring are good for that and that alone, standard cars doing standard things !
